I’m enjoying this, especially since some of the terraforming ideas in the first post are similar to things I have in mind for my own conworld.

ปรับปรุง bpràp bprung, meaning to improve, is the latest word I learnt in Thai. I’m still at the stage where I constantly discover awkward blanks in my vocabulary despite being able to say ‘jealous’ in at least three different ways.

Re: (Conlangs) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here
How do you guys make your phonology more interesting and/or complex? Phonology has always been a weak point in my conlangs. The phonological inventories are small, the rules are few, and the pronunciation could be learned in 2 minutes. I don't necessarily want complexity for complexity's sake, but ...

/ɑ ɛ e i ɨ ɔ o u/ This is almost exactly the kind of vowel system I like to use at the moment. In fact, why don’t I just post what I’m working with for a wildly divergent Híí dialect at the moment: Hɨɨ b t k g ’ f h r y w a e i ɨ ʉ u o ɔ ’ y represent /ʔ j/; otherwise the romo largely coincides wit...

Re: Random phonology/phonemic inventory thread
Now turn this into a strictly monosyllabic language with tons of inflectional and derivational morphology, none of which allows a word to grow beyond a monosyllable.

New and improved! Now 166.67% more diabolical than 666! [}:D] Kankonian's lexicon has reached 66,666 words! Today I finished working on the fiction-within-fiction creatures from the Kankonian science fiction movie " The World Aside ". While adding those words, I passed the 66,666-word mark with amo...

I enjoyed reading this (which is to say the posts from this year, since I figured the previous ones were out of date). I too like the general esthetic of the language. The various processes give it an extra layer of depth without going overboard. Thanks! I’m glad someone read it and liked it! Could...

Meyyın rebooted now has 3 words. They are:
luuy - blood
taw, pl. tawii - eye
než, pl. nižžii - hand
Come to think of it, I also have 19 forms of the copula from the root n ~ nii and the verb gis - to die.

I’ve revived a super ancient conlang of mine called Meyyın and I’m redoing it from the start. It’s so fun.
The first word coined in it is
yeyssiig n. - mounted warrior
