Re: Quaternion!

Say! Is the rumor true that Lin Manuel Miranda is working an a sequel to Hamilton entitled “Quaternion!”? Ah! Tis the Irish Question all over again! The numbers got too complex and Hamilton was thrown back into his bog! He should have stuck to folding quaternions for Ben Franklin and drinking his G...

Re: The Sixth Conversation Thread

Realizing there's something a bit sad about seeing words from Polish, Hungarian, etc. like Łódź or Szőcs and not looking at them with the same awe and confusion at their pronunciation and spelling like most other non-speakers seem to do. Wodge & Sodge? They're Foreign, bound to sound different. One...

Re: What are you listening to/watching?

By the way Ewa of Worldbuilding Notes narrated her first two YouTube videos in Lojban. She sounds quite fluent to me, but her native language appears to be Polish. Give us a link! I've never heard Lojban yspoke before. I've heard plenty of Esperanto, from the famous movie to their (un)national anth...

Re: Are you a hunter-gatherer or a farmer?

What are these X's someone on this thread was talking about? Can I call myself an INTX? Whenever I test myself, perceiving and judging are 50% X means either one or the other. Both INTP's and INTJ's are INTX's. So, the xNxP's would be INFP, INTP, ENFP, and ENTP, for instance. What about INXS?

Re: If you were to write one novel...

In looking back, I think it could be a fair introduction to the World in general. Certainly, the myths, folktales and in world stories that I usually write are horrible introductions to the World, because they, quite naturally, assume that you either already know the basic elements or else those el...

... that was set in your conworld or featured your conculture, what would it be about? What story would you choose to go with? In what way does this story represent and show the world/culture that you have created? Why would you want to specifically showcase the things and characters that appear or...

Re: (C&C) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here

You could put it in Ill Bethisad . I'm not sure if it will be well thought-out enough for this, and there's also the issue of limited freedom of choice in where I want things to go then. On the other hand, I quite like restrictions in order to jumpstart ideas/creativity. But I think Ill Bethisad is...
