Thanks - no, this is not my idea and it's actually found in some natlangs! Two examples are Andoke (isolate, Colombia) and Kogi (Chibchan, Colombia). Here are a couple links to papers which explain more about it.

Llaeth neu llefrith?!!

Recently I learned about the llaeth vs llefrith debate in Welsh (Southern vs Northern words, as I understand it). They both mean milk.

Hi - I haven't been on in a while but I've heard about the relay from Jack. I'd like to participate with Kaxangulá, an isolate that isn't part of any collaborative projects. It's pretty synthetic if anyone has strong feelings about that.
