Re: Kobardon - Lingua Franca used in Frédauon
Three things: 1) Lovely, simple aesthetic. The hint of Swahili is there and yet it feels very “safe”, which is fitting for a classiclang. (Entirely subjective opinions obviously) 2) I like the nod to Latin by using the word ut . However, your language has no subjunctive I’m guessing from the glosses...

If you added t͡s every continuant would have a prestopped version. Much elegant.

Re: What did you accomplish today?
Been revising the Chhuowòta orthography again… The high vowels are now /i ɯ u/ ı u ou (yes the dotted i’s got on my nerves in the end). And since I now have ı , I had to get rid of j , so now /d͡ʒ/ is z , which is daring to say the least, for me at least. We’ll see if it lasts. Why not use ȷ ? Beca...

VaptuantaDoi’s überminimalist protolangs gave me this idea:
*n *g *h *r *w *e *i *u
Would be fun.

Re: Random phonology/phonemic inventory thread
I’m switching conlangs every 24-72 hours at the moment. Idea for an Arapahoesque lang with a three-vowel system and lots of complementary distributions. The underlying consonant phonemes are: |n| |t k ʔ| |g| |s h| |j w| And they are subject to the following shifts: Before i: k → t͡ʃ g → r w → b Befo...

Gþúúłu, which started off as a joke but is now an absolute mess of consonant alternations and gradations, has the following inventory (no IPA, sorry): m n ñ ng p t tł c č k ’ p’ t’ tł’ c’ č’ k’ b d dl dz j g f þ ł s š h ð l z ž ɦ w r y a e i o u + length
