Kokhene Kool Idea №5 : Wåpwopwåhisi Like fifty years ago I posted a little Micronesian inventory: /pʲ pˠ tʲ k/ /bʲ bˠ dʲ ɡ/ /mʲ mˠ/ /ɸʲ ɸˠ ɕ x/ /βʲ~ɥ βˠ~w ʑ~j ɣ~ɰ/ /ə/ [i~ə] /ɐ/ [a~ɤ] I randomly found it the other day and decided to beat some life back into it. Re: (Conlangs) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here
In what kind of vowel inventories does /ʉ/ (close central rounded vowel) appear? Wikipedia has a very short list. Generally it functions as part of an F2-intermediate series between "front unrounded" and "back rounded", so it's roughly equivalent to /ɨ/, /y/ or /ɯ/. Take Natügu ...

Re: Too many pronouns?
At a glance, Hungarian has at least 144 personal pronouns (and another 119 reflexive and reciprocal pronouns) so 66 is by no means a stretch. However, much of the case marking is regular in Hungarian.

Kokhene Kool Idea №3: There's an island called Ąkuyook off the coast of Kokhene's southern polar continent which has two not-super-closely related languages on it, which I've previously called Ǫneebǫwhítw and Icááwənun. My original idea for proto-Ąkuyookic was something like this: t ʒ k ...

Kokhene Kool Ideas
Inspired by Crey's nifty Fredauon Fun Facts thread, I'm making one of my own (luckily I realised in time that copying his alliteration wouldn't be the best idea), with the caveat that it's gonna mostly be language-related rather than conworld-related, and it's gonna be nebulous ideas rather than int...

Re: Chwakesha
Nice phonology. I especially like the tone system, it's simple but interesting. Most pre-nasalised consonants cannot occur initially, excepting /ᵐb/ which occurs not infrequently (but often unnasalised) Was there a natlang inspiration for this specific feature? Not that I don't think it's realistic,...

There's also the Vulgarlang conlang generator which is alright although a bit Standard Fantasy Language-ey. I don't think it is very good at naturalism. And way too European. (Of course, its creator is on this forum and I've already insulted them enough in the thread they made for feedback, so I'll...

This is because cells inside organs that are used more frequently or less frequently change their internal buildin...
