Re: What did you accomplish today?
This isn't really something I accomplished so much as something I found out, but i just learned that my grandpa and his college roommate created an international auxlang (probably back in the 40s or 50s). I'm really excited to look over the notes he's lending me!

Re: CBB Conlang Relay X
I think some people were talking about the second mention of the restaurant in ring 1. That started with me, and that was one of the things that I thought for a while about. You can't really just say someone turned away in Mýr; they have to turn away from something (because of the fact that preposit...

I'm not surprised, but it's cool that the two rings are so different. I really like the fiery path of ice. I'd be excited for the next one of these, whenever that may be. If it's not too soon, I might have a different conlang ready. loglorn, I think the wagon was a car originally. The car maybe came...

Re: (C&C) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here
That sounds like a really cool idea that I'd love to see developed further. I wonder if people would try to find people they knew in the previous life. What would the response be to someone who didn't say who they were? Would people automatically assume they were someone awful? There are so many int...

Re: (Conlangs) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here
Has anyone created an alien language with sounds that humans can't produce? How would you go about notating these sounds? I had an idea for a language spoken by creatures with rattles on their faces among other things. Any ideas?

More góro stuff - í Góro tend to be mood markers, but í functions in ways that are not traditionally thought of as grammatical mood. Its two main uses are providing contrary evidence and confirming a previous statement. These two functions are not generally differentiated by native speakers, but the...

Yeah, I'm from Philly too, and I always found it interesting that we have [ˈwʊ̞ɾɚ] but no other similarly-pronounced words. It's just kind of its own thing.

Re: Mýr language (Rúbímýri)
Góro: the difference between -a- and -i-: These are the two most commonly used moods, and the distinction between them is a bit complicated. The Góro i is used to mark the emphasis of a statement. This is the point you're trying to get across in a sentence. There can be more than one word in a sente...

Re: Mýr language (Rúbímýri)
This is done in a number of ways. One is word order, which can get fairly complex but in most cases follows some basic rules. Another is just context. Take the sentence: Cagácaromò tucúpacìjì mingìcíngi bogorapý. Ca-gác-a-romò tu-cúp-a-cìjì mi-ngìcíng-i bo-gor-a-pý. 3SG-ALIEN-GNO-Romò 4SG-leave-GNO-...
