Lernen Sie Deutsch!

tl;dr = too long; didn't read.
And I'll do a lesson when I have the energy. This isn't a lesson-per-day deal.

Re: Lernen Sie Deutsch!
You should take a few days to really get a good idea of what you are doing.
Re: Lernen Sie Deutsch!
Actually, good point. What should I do for my next lesson? Some more nouns, perhaps?Thakowsaizmu wrote:You should take a few days to really get a good idea of what you are doing.

My posts or the links I provided?testyal1 wrote:tl;dr = too long; didn't read.
Obviously, you aren't interested on subjects dealing with the things you want to teach! Not a good attitude for a teacher!
Yes, of course! Making good tutorial material does require lots of time!testyal1 wrote:And I'll do a lesson when I have the energy. This isn't a lesson-per-day deal.

More about nouns
You should already know that German has three genders, but did you know about its four cases?
There are-
Nominative - Marks the agent of a transitive sentence and the subject of a non-transitive one
Genitive - Marks the owner of an object
Accusative - Marks the passive of a transitive sentence
Dative - Marks the indirect object in any sentence
Two things decline according to the gender and the case of the noun directly in front of it- determiners and adjectives. We'll get onto adjectives and other determiners later but for now, we'll just do simple articles.
The
Gender - Nominative, Genitive, Accusative, Dative
Masculine - Der, Des, Den, Dem
Feminine - Die, Der, Die, Der
Neuter - Das, Des, Das, Dem
Plural - Die, Der, Die, Den
A
Gender - Nominative, Genitive, Accusative, Dative
Masculine - Ein, Eines, Einen, Einem
Feminine - Eine, Einer, Eine, Einer
Neuter - Ein, Eines, Ein, Einem
Plural- Meine, Meiner, Meine, Meiner

If you're going to do lessons do them properly. There is nothing here that I couldn't have gotten off of the wiki.

BTW, why do you place Accusative before Dative?

Re: Lernen Sie Deutsch!
Not only that, but seeing as you are on a ConLanging forum, I don't think you really need to tell us what the cases are for. Maybe when they act differently than one might expect, or special cases and idioms, such as mir ist kalt "I am cold". Also, I would think that kein &c. should be included in the "simple articles".
Re: Lernen Sie Deutsch!
Again, as articles are usually not capitalized, you should give them in the usual form.

Re: Lernen Sie Deutsch!
It's not that you're useless but rather that teaching is not as easy as it may seem.
Languages are complicated things, you can't expect to just go:
Blah A is blah blah and Blah B is blah blah blah
And expect people to get anything from it. You have to explain it and show how it's used.

Actually, I'll keep doing it, but I'll just research a bit more on *ahem* teaching.

Re: Lernen Sie Deutsch!
I'm not a linguist nor a teacher and mein Deutsch ist ganz schlecht. Ergo, you decline articles, not nouns, in German.
