Legalese TC: "convene", "investigate", and other words

Post by eldin raigmore »

:eng: :usa: The District Attorney's Office is prepared to convene the Grand Jury to investigate alleged irregularities surrounding the death of Mrs. Joan Robinson Hill. -- (If your conlanguage's and/or conculture's "legalese" has a typical written look different from ordinary everyday writing, it would be nice to show that too.)

How should we translate this in the event the relevant culture doesn't have juries or district attornies? Should we give literal translations of the terms or change the translation to be appropriate for the legal system being described?
My pronouns are <xe> [ziː] / <xym> [zɪm] / <xys> [zɪz]
