Maybe not at the phonemic level, but I can imagine a language with /β̞/ vs /ɰ/ contrast and anticipatory assimilation to the following vowel, contrasting e.g. /β̞u/ [ɰβʷu] and /ɰu/ [ɰʷu].
(Depending how common each of the phonemes is, it can end with a merger or not.)

Re: Diagram "Two plus two equals four"?
I'd say that “two plus two equals four” is a transcription of a methematical formula “2+2=4” and, as such, this type of diagrams isn't designed to deal with that. “plus” looks like a conjunction because infix operators tend to look like conjunctions. (In general, they have a similar role.) But then,...

Re: Does my grammar make sense?
Define more accurate. More accurate in the sense that /w/ is more labial than it is velar articulation-wise. I mean it's the approximant equivalent to [k͡p]. You could call it a labialized velar approximant [ɰʷ] or a velarized labial approximant [β̞ˠ]. Whether you classify the phoneme as anything i...

Re: Gender ideology in languages
In Swedish, the natural third-person pronouns are 'han' (he) and 'hon' (she). They invented the pronoun 'hen' to disregard the gender. 'hen' is used when the gender is unknown and it is often used for homosexuals. It is also used for children, because they have not chosen their gender. So, if the P...

Esperanto is hated because it's so popular it distorts the general public's view of constructed languages. I seriously doubt the general public knows enough about Esperanto to care about it, let alone hate it. I'm not saying general public cares about or hates Esperanto*. I'm saying Esperanto is on...

Re: Most hated conlang
Those are quite good points that I've never really considered. I guess it's fair to say that Esperanto was a good attempt for the time it was created, but (imo) has no right to still be considered one in modern times, the only reason it's popular is because it already is - if someone made it now, i...

English. [ɕ] (if I'm not mistaken) is like that in "shield" and "shard" so it's easy. As far as I know, [ɬ] isn't even in English, or my dialect (RP with a bit of South West) of English. No English accent that I know of uses [ɕ] for /ʃ/. In fact, speaking of Japanese, using [ʃ] ...
