Re: Lesson/Guide Requests
I want so just say, first of all, thank you for your patience. Secondly, while the lessons are finished, I'm currently out of town visiting relatives, and my lesson is on my comp at home, and I won't be back for about a week. Sorry for the inconvenience, but at least I can definitely say, expect the...

Re: Lesson/Guide Requests
So far, I've got down my stuff on basic grammar, Personal Pronouns and basic verbs. I'll probably put in some stuff on adjectives and call it good. should be done soon, I reckon.

:eng: Hello/Good day, my name is John Smith. What's your name? I am 21 years old. How old are you? Goodbye/Bye! :con: ¡Salud! Eu nomine John Smith(if one were to be more formal, they'd say Smith John). ¿Que nominese vosu? Eu habe 21(didicce-un) ani. ¿Quode ani habese vosu(though one might alternativ...

:eng: Three rings to the elven kings under the sky, seven to the dwarf lords in their halls of stone, nine to the mortal men, doomed to die, and one for the dark lord on his dark throne, in the land of Mordor, where the shadows lie. One ring to rule them all. One ring to find them, One ring to bring...

Don't kill me!
¡No mè sidar! - Vuladiu/Vuladian(for english speakers) [note: the ar ending isn't an infinitive, but actually it's the imperative conjugational form. To kill is actually sidir, but one makes it imperative by making it sidar]

Re: Bad language
For my current main conlang, Vuladian, I actually recently(2 days or so ago) made a list of taboo words. I've 3 words for ''bitch'': Ch'loppa - Though the three terms used to all mean the same thing(the difference was regional), the three eventually started to deviate in meanings. This is the most w...

Re: Natlang Influences
My main conlang, Vuladian, takes influence mostly from French, Spanish, Latin, Italian, and German with a little Portuguese, Catalan, Gaelician, Romanian, and very very little bit of Russian. It probably sounds a little strange w/ all the elements of influence listed out like that, but really only t...

Re: Lesson/Guide Requests
Yeah, I find myself often writing the occasional word in IM. It happens. At least I'm not doing whole sentences in it and misusing words(like where, were, we're; to, too, two; their, they're, there; etc)

Re: Lesson/Guide Requests
I would prefer more formal lessons, yeah, but not the generic "oh hmm these are phrases you use to greet people hey we'll teach you how they're constructed grammatically 134139 lessons in k? just take our word for it, k?" and "hmm these people are idiots so we'll teach them like 3 ye...

Re: Novemberfifth (that's actually the name I gave it)
Not really. I made that to modify letters like an accent to a vowel or one of those dashes/little circles that modify the kana in japanese for the consonants, but I wanted it to look weird and different, and I was using the ' as a slight pause in between sounds. The language was meant to be fun, not...

Re: Novemberfifth (that's actually the name I gave it)
Okay, I think I did it right. If not, it's probably close enough. B [bʌ] P [pʌ] M [mʌ] M` [mjʌ] N [nʌ] N` [njʌ] S [sʌ] Z [tsʌ] (if there is a symbol for TS, I couldn't see it) S` [ʃʌ] T [tʌ] T` [tʃʌ] K [kʌ] R [rʌ] L [lʌ] H [xʌ] J [jʌ] G [gjʌ] D [dʒʌ] ŋ [ŋʌ] E [jei] A [a] A` [ai] Gn bne has` [gjʌn bʌ...

Re: Novemberfifth (that's actually the name I gave it)
Yeah, actually it is kinda hard to learn all those technical terms, so I have next to no idea what the IPA charts mean. I once managed to find a dumbed-down IPA chart, so I might be able to find it again and IPA this, but I think it only had sounds found in english, so it wouldn't have that phlegmy ...

Novemberfifth (that's actually the name I gave it)
My latest conlang, barely a day old, came about from an idea I had while taking a short break from my main conlang, vuladian. Below are my notes so far on it(along w/ a short intro, cuz I just copy+pasted this from what I already had on the conlangs group on FB) : I thought I'd take a little break f...

Aside from the 3 native French speaker, like me, Hakaku and Yiuel already registered on the forum. @_@ I'm too lazy to make a wall of text about French anyway, so you're more than welcome to do it. I'll correct if anything's wrong anyway. Also, HI!!!! Have you presented yourself somewhere? :D Newco...

Re: Lesson/Guide Requests
Okay. So how formal do you want this to be? Like, for instance, I can easily make this a formal ''teacher and students'' thing, assign homework, make a class website, the whole shebang, or I can also easily just cover certain areas you want to learn in a very nonformal way. and really any level in b...

Re: Lesson/Guide Requests
If anyone could do a French guide that'd be great! Or if you don't want to do a guide just a French Q&A? I'd do an English one but I think it's probably pointless, for obvious reasons. :-) I may only be in french III but I'm one of the best in my class and I'm pretty sure I'm good enough to be ...
