Re: Conlang Relay XVII - It Has Begun (Signups closed)

Re: What kind of conlanger are you?

Primarily filler with a spawner’s sub-approach. Technically a circumnavigator as I’ve technically done conlang work for multiple settings. ( Twin Aster is my primary; I also have the obligatory fantasy setting, contributed to a few settings that fizzled out (these include the Istion setting and the ...

Remember 11/11!
My grandfather served in Korea (he was at Pork Chop Hill).

My great-uncle Frank was in the African Theatre of WWII.

One of my more distant cousins saw action in Vietnam.

Re: Some thoughts on the evolution of planetary systems

I’m wary of long-term gravitational projection—with the near-total vacuum of space, even tiny nudges can have staggering effects in the long run, and there are so very many possible sources—not to mention, we don’t have every object known or mapped.

on the other hand, at least then Europa wouldn't've had to wait for the Monolith's ignition for its ice to melt. :) I wonder if the Monolith in the movie got its name from . . . well, what are the German/Yiddish words for "one" and "stone"? Is it not TMA-1 like in the books?

Re: Making Mistakes

. . .these have a similar tradition when showing a newbie the ropes. While demonstrating a routine task, the master will deliberately make a small but visible mistake. A senior squire may strip a screw head, a hearthkeeper may replace a fuse with one with a lower current rating causing it to blow, ...
