For me, it looks like symbols from several different scripts. Maybe Hangeul mixed with some Japanese script?

Neat, I wouldn't have guessed the Afro-Asiatic stuff but it certainly makes sense. Ah, all of them are also Chadic and most of them are Central Chadic aka Biu-Mandara. Might be a genetic effect as the two segments are also reconstructed for Proto-Central Chadic per this list: https://en.m.wiktionary...

Re: Kobardon - Lingua Franca used in Frédauon
The post on adjectives made me realize that large parts of this should not go in the nominal symtax part and should probably be added to the section on copular clauses. I also decided that complex adjectival attributive construction (the very big man, the proud-of-his-son dad, the larger-than-me wom...

Re: Case system questions
Yes, the general idea sounds naturalistic. Why shouldn't it be?
It would help if you could give details on your harmony (vowel harmony, I guess) and the other sound changes. I could try to guess from the examples, but it would be easier if you could explain it.

Re: Kobardon - Lingua Franca used in Frédauon
Prepositional Phrases Prepositional phrases are introduced by particles and can modify nouns. This use of particles can be described as prepositional in that they closely mirror adpositional meanings in other languages. Prepositions precede the noun phrase they belong to. Prepositional phrases modi...

Phoneme cooccurrence in Phoible inventories
I just wanted to share this graphic that I found on the conlangs subreddit. It shows how often certain phonemes cooccur in a phoneme inventory in the Phoible database. https://www.reddit.com/r/conlangs/comments/1c34qmy/tree_chart_of_phoneme_cooccurence/ There are some cool surprises there (of course...

The standard example is 'Kannst du mir ein Stück Brot zu Fuß geben?' 'Can you give me a piece of bread 'by foot', meaning without a plate or anything. There is still some movement involved and I haven't really heard it in other contexts. I vaguely recall that in some North American language 'by foot...

Re: Kobardon - Lingua Franca used in Frédauon
Adjectives Attributive adjectives can precede or follow the noun they modify. The distinction between the two positions is based on restrictiveness. Restrictive adjectives are those that help identify the referent of a noun. They restrict the set of possible referents and provide crucial informatio...

tl;dr on verbal syntax: A syntactic distinction between semantically (potentially) identical direct (unmarked) and indirect object position (introduced by a particle). Indirect objects are different in that adverbials can intervene between them and their verb, plus indirect objects can be cognate o...

Indo-European and some other languages use prepositions as verb prefixes to code different adverbial functions (lexical affixes which I've been interested in for a while). What other morphemes could develop to lexical affixes and still preserve their original functio? Multi-purpose morphemes are on...

I am pretty sure that I had a similar idea once. Along with a binary language and a square/quaternary, etc.

Ergo, we can only be decently sure that /a/ does alternate for roots, but we can't be certain if it's actually neutral for suffixes. As for Shuluun Höh or other languages, I haven't found anything. The paper seems to build a lot of its case on Sibe specifically. Just a minor addition. I would guess...

Voiced codas can lengthen vowels, but I wonder if long vowels can voice codas? I searched P-Base and I got eight results for such processes. Here are the most convincing cases. Pech (Paya) Rule /k/ ~ [ɡ] / long X__ Estonian Rule X → voiced / resonant__resonant, VV__resonant Macuxi Rule X → voiced /...

@Nel Fie: I am still not sure if I understand the relation between the concrete data and the high-level abstract generalizations. But I can't think of many concrete questions. Going back to my answer to the original question: Does /a/ alternate in these languages or is it neutral? @Sal: I think, you...

I am not sure yet how they define good and evil. They would need to do this in order to make the concept of balance useful. The definitions are probably subject to change in-world and might also depend on the opinions of the current leader. Btw, I am tempted to say that the title of their leader is ...

Sorry, I don't know anything about this specific language. My guess is that there are many more topic-prominent lamguages in the macroarea.
