Re: Most in-depth descriptions of conlangs?
Well it certainly doesn't hurt to get that answer. But I asked because I do in fact suspect Siwa to be up there but I'd like to get to know the other very detailed works that exist about either amateur or professional conlangs. I knew about Novegradian and I'm quite impressed by it, although it is a...

Re: Most in-depth descriptions of conlangs?
I just mean, about which conlangs do we have the most wealth of linguistic information?

Most in-depth descriptions of conlangs?
I'm curious to know if anyone here knows of any very thoroughly described conlangs? I'm not so interested in the communities that form around conlang and more in the extent to which the languages have been described/catalogued. So I mean works that talk about the language itself, not works IN the la...

Re: updated Siwa
Of course! It would be silly not to use such a big, beautiful book (full of spelling mistakes), I say! Spelling mistakes in English or in Siùūúû.... Siwa? I don't know how to get that weird u. Having been the sole editor and proofreader, the English is riddled with strange mistakes that I...

Re: updated Siwa
I did put a lt of effort into it. But I was 15, my English was still not very good, I hadn't studied any linguistics and I was just not experienced at this. I think everyone would feel the same sharing projects from when they were 15yo.

Re: updated Siwa
I'm so very glad my work has a positive influence on conlanging/conlangers. I really do see a lot of value in it and I think people should realize that it is a totally legitimate form of art, worthy of all the effort you can put into it. Even though it's not something I'm willing to share with anyon...

Re: updated Siwa
:D I think it's also important to concentrate on describing your conlang through examples. It's not enough to talk about the way nouns work, you need to actually use them in sentences and describe what happens from them. I often see people describe whole grammars with only a handful of examples. Con...

Re: updated Siwa
Oh it's been way more than 5 years. The thing is that I never entirely scrapped a conlang. Sure, I changed the names, but I always had only one project at a time that I just recycled constantly. There are still many elements and ideas in Siwa from a conlang I was working on more than 10 years ago. A...

Re: updated Siwa
I think it's just because FB is more practical when it comes to this type of thing, even though the quality over there is dismal at best. I'm mostly annoyed by the seemingly epidemic proportion of people who simply never keep going long enough to get to that sweet spot where you have done enough wor...

Hey folks and peepholes. I don't hang out here as much as I used to but I've noticed that I haven't kept you updated with the most up-to-date version of Siwa's Descriptive Grammar, which you can find here . You can also find the first couple of lessons of the Beginner's Course here . You can also ha...

Re: Yay or Nay?
I had no idea about the Icelandic features mentioned in the article on logophoric pronouns. Cool. But. I've never actually seen Icelandic do that, or else I would've reacted, since it looks really weird from a mainland Scandinavian viewpoint. I wonder how common it really is... I cannot say whether...

Re: Siųinietṡat - Siwa Lesson
:) The only tricky parts of Siwa are really quite simple anyways. There are rarely ever more than two forms for each word/verb/adjective (marked/unmarked or nonpast/past), but it is so pattern based that you easily get an intuition for what is right. Everything else is just fun little pieces that ca...

Siųinietṡat - Siwa Lesson
I've finally started writing lessons for Siwa. I'm going to try to have something like 10-15 lessons. Here is the first one.
If you have any requests, comments, suggestions or you'd like to answer the questions and get the correct answers, let me know!
Here is the first lesson and the audio.

Here is a short text I read out loud about Siwa clothing. Tulmu Euka tulmuma-hi damġa te tůrůma okuhka muṡid moskko-uli ki Siuragi. Re: Siųa
@loglorn, it should definitively inspire you! It's taken me a lot of time and self-control to get this far, neither of which is impossible to attain! I've been working on Siwa for a long time, and it's hard to say exactly how long. I'd say upwards of 6 years now? And yes, I made up a lot of not-so-l...
