Re: CBB Conlang Relay XIV - IT BEGINS (late signups accepted)

Actually I thought I was going to finish it tonight but I came up a little short on time. Can I have one more day to finish it up? Fine with me. I could use an extra day to get ready. 😃 If it's not an inconvenience, Dzeta requested to go before the 16th, so I've swapped you two around. :) That's fi...

I was meant to get the torch yesterday, but my predecessor hasn't yet acknowledged receipt. What is the current status of Ring 1?

Re: Who runs faster than me?

Yeah … I don't like it [xD] It's either <k> for /k/ and <qu> for a certain reflex of Latin /kʷ/; or <c> and <qu> for /k/ and <qù> for that /kʷ/ reflex. The latter certainly looks prettier, but it's also more complicated. Don't forget the Spanish option: (c) or (qu) for /k/ and (cu) for /kʷ/. Though...

How likely is it for prefixed subject/object clitics to not interact with vowel harmony Not very, I think, but certainly it's not unheard of to have affixes that ignore harmony. Hungarian has the suffix -kor , which ignores vowel harmony, thus: egykor "at one" kettőkor "at two" ...

Evidently. Atili is not (to my knowledge) related to Kankonian.

Overall, very interesting, but I'm confused by your decision to write a geminate uvular plosive with "c," while all other geminates are formed by doubling the letter. [:)]
