https://mega.nz/#!RS41yBCA!51YSAdJ-LUWikJ2NnjX-LlFV0DcZfSBFiKOjA_ptlV0 Here's a link to a badly-formatted handwritten pdf of rules applied for my challenge. Some notation was inconsistent, but application should've been consistent. You can view the file without downloading. If I have time I'll take ...

Re: Quick Diachronics Challenge
Alright, Sangi in that case would win. I'll post documentation when I have access; Sangi (or if they don't want to/aren't able to, someone else) can start a new one.

Re: Quick Diachronics Challenge
Quick bump, although I'm sure some are still slowly chipping away at it. If wanted, I can give a few attested epigraphic cognate forms?

Re: Quick Diachronics Challenge
Commentary on guesses below, don't open if you don't want to see. I'll provide the first round of actual commentary at this point as I just said, so continue at your own risk. Sangi, I'll address your guesses first; sort of in order of posting. Overall, consider what's ancestral versus what're innov...

Re: Quick Diachronics Challenge
I'll provide some very vague commentary seeing as you're the only one working on this currently (although others may be?), of course I expect this to take longer than usual. (To everyone else, have a shot even if you aren't sure; I certainly wouldn't be able to so well on this). Some of your theorie...

Re: Quick Diachronics Challenge
I'm not going to provide any commentary on guesses just yet, but just FYI sangi, the initial nasal of 2 in a c g is voiceless and it seems you've accidentally copied it down as voiced.

Re: Quick Diachronics Challenge
Here it is, the long awaited and longer procrastinated diachronics challenge, vol. something. [PDF warning, I can provide screenshots of the pages if you dislike PDFs that much.] Have at it, folks. Edit (now Edits): The little vertical bar thing is stress marker, not lateral; TNR apparently doesn't...

Re: Quick Diachronics Challenge
The extension has been extended; I'm almost done with sound changes for all ten languages, after that I plan to run around 30 proto-words thrhough sound changes, although I'm not sure if I'll actually do that much. I'm doing mainly binary branching with a few areal features. Maybe expect it by the m...

Re: Quick Diachronics Challenge
Hmm, perhaps something like a non-nasal alveolar sonorant followed by (or less likely, following) a nasal vowel, instead of *n? I'll keep my guess the same for now.

Re: Quick Diachronics Challenge
What do </(n)j (n)y ng ū/> represent here? Not a thorough look by any means, but here goes: 1: seems fairly typical, perhaps the fact that the initial vowel was (presumably, could have just been added everywhere else) deleted points to original stress on the second vowel. 2: some sort of insertion a...
