Decided to turn the /øʏ̯/-/øːʏ̯/ distinction to a /œ/-/ø/ one to create symmetry with the front unrounded (and to a lesser extent the back rounded) series. Also, a contrast between /f/ and /ɸ/ phonemes is cross-linguistically rare.

Some of the vowels qualities only occurr in diphthongs. As such, they can be considered allophones.
