Re: What are you listening to/watching?
Death metal band Gojira. Describing Gojira as death metal is one of the hotter takes I've seen here recently. (Yes, they have deathy influences, but to simply call them "death metal" a) fails to capture the actual sound of the music and b) passes up on an opportunity to say "whalecor...

Re: Other Creativity
I wrote a music track inspired by the "You must escape" roleplay. Specifically I tried portraying the Voice in music. Vocals - maybe? I'm not good at singing (I'm awful, in fact), I'll probably use a vocoder or something. CW : a bit loud. This is excellent! I don't think it needs vocals i...

Re: Arayaz's thread so that she doesn't flood the forum [comments encouraged!]
Sometime recently we hit 100,000 views on this thread. That is unfathomable to me. Of course, it counts as a new view every time someone turns a page, but still, it's nearly 300 views per post. That that many people willingly glance at my work is kind of crazy. In honor of this (how? idk) I have dec...

I'm not sure if we have already discussed this idea. There is a negative infinitive 'not to do', which is noway strange. But this negative infinite is also used with auxiliaries of avoiding, stopping or generally not doing. I wanted do.NEG.INF 'I wanted not to do.' I sopped do.NEG.INF 'I sopped doi...

So I was writing this post, and suddenly, all of my tabs reloaded, erasing my progress. So I'll summarize what I had. SYNTAX This language is uniformly head-final, with SOV word order. (There will be more syntax, but now right now.) VERBS Verbs inflect for volition, tense, and subject marking. Subje...

In general, ADHD is nebulous, poorly-defined, and currently only defined via symptoms.

This family shall come from a proto-form something like this: PHONOLOGY *t *d *k *ɡ *s *ʃ *h *m *n *ɾ *j *w *i *y *ɨ~ɯ *u *e *ø *ə~ʌ *o *ɛ~æ *ɔ~ɒ with CVC syllable structure; *m *k *ɡ in coda position become *n *t/ʃ (word-specific, but usually t) *d. *h may have been [x] in some positions. Stress fa...

Spring cleaning time! I'm halting work on Hardhathyas and Antidanish (of course, that implies I was working on them at all, which I wasn't; this also implies I'm going to continue work on Sųmr Siwadi, Hivadi, DANCE, Me Paleshì, and Sémqonge’ Ing, which is unlikely to be true either). I'm also going ...

yep! it's mostly just a way to (a) practice spanish/cyrillics and (b) communicate with a slightly greater degree of secrecy, but it has also made me very curious about what a romance-slavic language would look like.
