Not really doing hunter-gather grade vocab per se, but modern hunting will do.

Day 1:
Project Knox
yi-n̰apiŋum n. deer corn

Project Campbell
ti-ṉitu-ka n. deer corn

Re: (Conlangs) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here

It's definitely easier to work that out earlier on, if only to skip the effort of rewrites. Also, if I add, say, classes of tense-marking to a language without it, the end result never feels as organic as if I was picking out which class each item goes to when coining each item. (Alignment is probab...

Re: Random phonology/phonemic inventory thread

Large inventories happen. And, offhand, there's nothing ripped off, but let's pretend there's a morphologized centralization process akin to umlaut. Sometimes you just go with the snapshot in time idea without ever expecting it to last a millennium.

Diphthongs

aɪ aʊ

The consonantalism is irrelevant, but I picture a middling Romance/Germanic inventory

I know it happens, but I can't see why the process would significantly change with or without polysynthesis.

Re: (C&C) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here

I guess life insurance would change. Could you explain your scenario more? I'm indeed pondering an anthology fantasy akin to the Elder Scrolls. One potential society would mimic the Dwemer in vanishing, but as a twist vanish in the future of the setting instead of the past. I'm interested in potent...

What's some less obvious implications of a reverse Dwemer disappearance, i.e. disappearing in the future and everybody knows it'll happen, just the details aren't known?

I remembered to write a little bit about noun incorporation with some examples. "Hurr-durr, remember the polysynthesis lol."
