Re: If you were to write one novel...
I want to focus on the period 1,000 years after the development of the early language, back society was in a semi-medieval state, but had remnants from a lost technological age. I'm more used to writing science fiction. But I want to develop converging mythologies from the different culture that evo...

Re: Miscellaneous fun facts about your conlang to share and know
Ex. [jakata] [de] [aʁbʁe], or just aʁbʁejakata A type of tree house shaped like a boat, that can used in an emergency as an arc like boat for your family, and came out during great floods. Re: For English Speaker, Korean or Japanese? [ Question Thread ]
A friend asks me if I know any words that end in the Japanese symbol for N, and I mention all I can think of is Chan. But even though I mean that as just a word I found, it interpreted as my calling him Chan, which isn't something I generally do. In short: How easy is it to establish the distinctio...

For English Speaker, Korean or Japanese? [ Question Thread ]
I've been trying to learn Japanese at the moment, after having some issues learning a romance language. But I'm considering the idea of switching to Korean temporarily, as it's looking like my career might switch in that direction. Language Difficulty With Japanese, Hiragana and Katakana aren't insu...

Re: Conlanging And Audience Question
In fact that's kind of what I had in mind, basically it's a kind of Art Creole, that evolves into a full Pidgen, but with influences from other languages. Although the spelling is slightly different from either base language. A fictional dialect based on an alternate history timeline.

Re: How should I start creating/writing my (reference) grammar?
In terms of making things easier for yourself, I'd have two suggestions: - don't intimidate yourself by trying to write The Grammar right away. Instead, pick a particular topic and write about that. How does your language handle possession? How does it handle negation? Etc. Include examples. Then m...

Re: If you were to write one novel...
It would be a science fiction series set in a border city, or even sanctuary cities, where it acts as a safe zone between the conflict between the Western and Eastern part of the country, forming a kind of bubble community with its own lore and legends. For example, instead a Yurei story or even a g...

Re: What is the newest word in your conlang?
My latest word is "Yakata De Arbre". Literally translates to tree boat, but refers to a type of tree house that can be turned into an Arc during times when ocean water floods the mainland.
It's likely it will shift into: Arbrekata.
