Re: (Conlangs) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here
How does nasalization affect the place of vowels? I tried looking at Wikipedia, but all I got was this confusing paragraph: Nasalization as a result of the assimilation of a nasal consonant tends to cause a raising of vowel height; phonemically distinctive nasalization tends to lower the vowel. Acc...

Re: Sentients of Saytal
Two halves of Saytal were separated by huge mountain chain and non-human half was defended by non-humans. Were because this conworld is scrapped for ever and I will never revive it. Do you mean you no longer want to care Saytal ? Cause may be some dragons or crystals can make this conworld unscrapp...

Re: (Conlangs) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here
How naturalistic is a scenario where a language would only palatalize a subset of consonants at a specific POA? For example, in a language I’m working on evolving diachronically, I want to only palatalize /ŋ k/ but not /g/. Is possible enough for to be use stop voiced to be treated in different way...

Re: The CBB Makes a conlang
HolyHandGrenade!, I'm into you said "the main purpose of" a grammatical process. How is it class marking to have its own purpose ? That's interesting, what you talked about, the main purpose of class marking. How is it that a linguistic device has a purpose of its own? (translated by perch...

Re: The CBB Makes a conlang
I propose analytic language of warriors with a lot of roots differing only with inflectional things. What an idea ! Only, is it so many roots to be the same but the inflections to know what it is : ka : tree ka : cloud ka-zi : from ka = rain ka-vu : build on ka = bird's nest But it to be a warriors...
