Re: Orthographic differentiation of homophones in conlangs
Kireshi differs in orthography based on the origin of the word. Especially for gemmination: English words repeat the consonant, Rejistanian origin words use h as the 2nd consonant.

Re: That awkward moment when you...
Is it a sign of pride or of shame when you struggle more with your own handwriting and with undocumented words than with the letters themselves?

Toki Pona. Just Toki Pona. It is a language which fails very much at its stated goal of simplicity.

I can imagine this in the case sound changes conflate the past and the future tense.

Definitely Ilaksh! But as for irregular and thus large... French verbs and German nouns... come to mind. There are many paradigms in both cases.

Re: Commonly given translation challenges
The grandfather text and the Babel text are common challenges in the conlanging community. Apart from that, people ask what "Hello", various swears, and a certain strange phrase means in Rejistanian. That strange phrase comes from the fact taht someone asked me about the longest word in Re...

Re: Naming Conlangs
Rejistaniha or rejistanian is named after the land it is spoken in. Kenshuite He Mo Gie means "The Language Which We Use" or just "Our Language". Jasabagé'a does as well, only it does not have to use a relative clause to express this. Lajik was named after the people who speak it...

Re: Crazy Conbeliefs
Relegation of the favorite soccer team. Noooo! This is clearly the worst of all possible outcomes in life! I watch too much soccer. :D My culture of Rakatalu has a sport they call Ikiliki. The two competitors both attempt to kill themselves with nothing but their bare hands. First one to die wins. ...

Re: Crazy Conbeliefs
The Rejistanis believe that there are 3 catastrophes in the life of the person (ordered from the least severe to the most severe): illness, death, relegation of the favorite soccer team. This is only slightly hyperbolic. This is somewhat religious, but okay: for Rejistanis, it is important that the ...

I do think that. Sorry I don't like him at all and what he does is very Revelationsy. Also I watch Glen Beck. If I've ruined every thing I've said I am truly sorry. That is the issue with the book of relevation. It can be interpreted in n+x ways. The most interesting explanation for the book...

Rejistanis are racists. At least to a point. Not the 'kill all Jews' kind of racism but the 'Irish people need not apply' kind – even though it is illegal to discriminate based on race or ethnicity according to the constitution. Good thing real life isn't like this! ;) Real life is more subtle abou...
