Re: What did you accomplish today?
Just finished the 25-letter Javarti alphabet. S becomes X and Z becomes J with the help of a ^-shaped diacritic called a txekhi, but they're considered separate letters. Aside from X and J, letters for Q, Ü, and Y were added after Javarti adapted Jukasta's alphabet. 29 new Javarti words got borrowed...

Re: What did you accomplish today?
Finally got around to doing the numerals 0 through 7 (plus an octal point), punctuation marks, and operations for Vlchichi. The next con-script I'm going to do with be for Javarti. This time around, I want to make the script borrowed. I'll take Jukasta words (Jukasta being to Javarti what Latin and ...

Woohoo! Speaking of which... I've been working on the big list you gave me, which is why I haven't been on here much. I will add the words in the spoiler to the list. Thanks! You're welcome! It's great that you're working on the list so much! Be sure to update the FrathWiki article when you reach 1...

Re: The Landau Core Vocabulary
Attention MissTerry! Today I added 218 new entries to the LCV! I added in the eleven next most populous U.S. states (I already had the four most populous: California, Texas, Florida, New York), so now I have the big fifteen. I also added some country names that appear frequently but that I don't alr...

Re: (L&N) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here
Of course, we also have lots of "in the process of" words that maintain the a- as adjectives or adverbs, without the -ing. Consider the perfectly modern English passages that use "aglow" or "abuzz"!

Re: Weird Dream Thread
That's exactly it. You mentioned F-words and then I saw that and was like "That's got to be Khemehekis." I've done that quite a lot. Here's an old post about me doing C-words for Kankonian. You'll note that I add a word for "coronavirus", just as the world is going into lockdown.

Re: What did you accomplish today?
I like the Kankonian Alphabet! I personally prefer practical alphabets/scripts one can actually write with, hand writing with using pen/pencil and paper, jot down quick notes with, as opposed to the digital artsy-fartsy conlang alphabets. Glad you liked it! Yeah, I drew the letters with a black pen...

Re: Weird Dream Thread
I had just inquired about a series of A-words (in English) that weren't already in another conlanger's conlang I didn’t see the username but as soon as I read this I knew it couldn’t be anyone else. [:D] Are my posts really that recognizable? Am I that unique? I mean, I know I don't fit the "v...

Re: What did you accomplish today?
I wasn't aware that there was a difference between north and south Korean. Dialects in Southeast Asia tend to switch Rs and Ls. Basically, many words that begin with an L/R sound in one Korean dialect begin with an N sound in the other. I forget which is which. I should probably just ask my brother...

Re: Lexicon milestones and discussion of lexicon growth
Love the two-column look of the dictionary, and can't wait to see it grow! Thank you! It was quite the learning curve, but it was so worth all the trouble once I figured it out. You're welcome. I think I reached close to 720 words, but there are currently just over 600 words in the dictionary. I th...

Re: Lexicon milestones and discussion of lexicon growth
I reached another milestone for my lexicon and made a Lortho – English dictionary using LaTeX. It's a living document, but I am very pleased with the results. The newest word in Humrayan is "Khiospa," which is the name for Cytisus Scoparius, commonly called "Broom." Broom grows everywhere around the areas where I live; I needed a name for it in my conlang. They have bunches of pretty yellow flowers: https://www.linkpicture.com/q/cytis...

Re: What did you accomplish today?
That's a cool alphabet! I like it. It reminds me of Armenian writing. Wow. I definitely didn't think of Armenian when I made my alphabet. I find Armenian writing incomprehensible because, aside from the fact that I don't know the Armenian language, all the letters look alike to me. h's and m's and ...
