Re: Lexicon milestones and discussion of lexicon growth
Word #105,000 was mephyer , meaning "regolith". Why did I translate this R-word when I was in the M's, you ask? Well, I needed a word for "moondust, lunar regolith". So I created this one as #105,000 and then added phodos (moon) to the beginning to make phodosmephyer for moondust...

Shame that it goes extinct in the second half of the twentieth century, though.

Thanks. However, I meant how would all of you rank Kankonian on the famous 1-5 scale of difficulty for Anglophones? Also: neurodiversity. You have ADHD, I have OCD and synaesthesia. I would give it a 3. I wager any language that is kinda agglutinative is more akin to English. I saw a video where a ...

https://khemehekis.angelfire.com/basic.htm What do all you English-speakers think of my Kankonian? I like the use of the linguolabial trill. IIRC you started working on Kankonian in the late 90s. I didn't even start conlanging until fall of 2002 at the earliest and have been a consistent scrapper u...

Re: Commonthroat: a language that only a dog could probably pronounce
What would the Kankonians call monkey-foxes/yinrih? "Monkey-fox" would probably be expressed in Kankonian as zaturafiti ( zatura , monkey + fiti , fox). Then they could also borrow "yinrih" as yinrihh . Except the accent would be on the second syllable. HH is pronounced /ħ/. hmm...
