Re: English Orthography Reform
Would any sound pronounce [ɑ] be written <ah> or <aa>?? sounds don't pronounce anything I'm guessing that's supposed to say "pronounce d ". Anyway, if you want some useful feedback, it might help to explain what exactly you're trying to do. Is this spelling reform meant purely as an aesth...

Re: Non-spheroid conworlds (now talking about horizons)
I've occasionally toyed with the idea of having a gas giant with a very thick atmosphere with huge formations of some kind of lightweight rock floating in it. Then again, the shape of the world isn't really of any major concern in most ...

Re: Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here
What kinds of interesting things can happen to consonants like /d̥ʷ ɡ̊ʷ tʷʰ kʷʰ sʷ nʷ ŋʷ/ ? Can they affect a vowel's roundedness? Would /a e ə i ɨ u/ > /ɶ ø ɵ y ʉ u/ after rounded consonants? That's entirely plausible; a very similar change is attested at least in Ubykh (allophonically, but if you...

Re: Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here
As for the method itself my idea is to base it on the sum of powers of 3. Ok, but why would someone take 3 as a base instead of much simpler ten or even eight? Well, I suppose it could be argued that in some (ancient) cultures you just don't need to count to much more than three that often... Altho...
