That's where I read about Shuluun Höh. I encountered some Sibe data in a more computational paper. But the original sources are cited in the source you give, IIRC.

Well, black as in operating in the dark or in secret, I guess. Haven't heard of the necromancers, will read up on it. The Black Angels are of course at least partly inspired by the Jedi in Star Wars. I guess the necromancers are more about balancing the cycle of life and death come to think of it. ...

Which makes sense because definiteness could be construed of as a kind of information structure. It should definitely be added to the list.

Fredauon Fun Fact #36: The secret society known as The Black Angels operates on all of Fredauon. They were originally founded in the area south of The Great Mountains and their ideology assumes a natural balance between good and evil. They usually restrict their operations to assassinating leaders ...

What do you think of this vowel harmony system? Is it plausible? It's /a e i ɤ o ɯ u/ /o u/ are rounded /ɤ ɯ/ are unrounded /a e i/ are neutral /a/ is usually unrounded/back in rounding/backness harmony systems and paired (or re-paired) with a back rounded or front unrounded vowel. Re: (L&N) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here
I don't think anything and everything is the correct answer. I know of no language that uses only word order to distinguish person, number, tense, aspect, modality, or evidentiality. But I might be wrong of course. I can't name any, but I'd be surprised if there are no languages that at least secon...

I don't think there is an easy asnwer but here are some functions that I know of. 1) The difference between the two arguments of transitive verbs. Happens in English (and probably many other languages). 2) Information structure, so things like topic and focus. Happens in many languages including Eng...

Re: Play scratchpad
One feature distinguishing Play from nearby languages is that its 1>2 verb marker is a zero morph, and the 2>1 marker is usually a doubling of the vowel. (All verbs have two arguments, whether stated or not.) Thus one can say ti deed; what I am doing to you tii what you are doing to me Tiitīs? What...

Re: Clothing and Clothing Inspiration for Concultures
Isn't there also a lot of variation on Earth when it comes to clothing (apart from the satus symbol thing)? I was thinking of the variation in Indonesia alone between this (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koteka?wprov=sfla1) and this (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minangkab ... prov=sfla1).

[...] Do these creatures have any basis in the reality of the setting or are they really just myths? Well, they have a solid basis in *our* reality. The feathered, winged monsters would look like birds of prey/owls and the dry, furred creatures like wild cats. I estimate that said creatures would w...

Re: Fredauon Fun Facts
I noticed recently that many of the FFFs are not fun at all. I also noticed that fun fact -at least for me- does not mean a fact that is fun but is instead a fixed expression meaning 'a very small bit of information that is neither completely informally nor scientically presented and in itself of li...
