Re: Making a Music Culture?

Dooz your conlang suggest rhythm? gkt My 3S has dialects with various vowel/consonant choices. Angelic, for instance, likes to have vowels that sing.

Re: Making a Music Culture?

An identifiable tonal system does not have to be all that important. A natural music is freely associative. A psychic and sympathetic connection from one life to another is essential. By this a musician may inspire a squirrel to laughing and dancing.

Re: Making a Music Culture?

I make bamboo flutes, and so I may tune them as freely as I wish. A custom-tuned consort of these is made. The only composerly directions to playing them are density, duration and dynamics. A language for singing is just as free... like jazz scat.

Re: Playing with 3S Language

For cartoonish humans attitude is more important than philosophy. At the root of my philosophy is the creative language of children. I have more respect for it than to think it meaningless play. I was once employed to help a kid who was devoted to his personal language. He so loved it he submitted t...

Re: Playing with 3S Language

The chosen set of meanings for a 3S language will constitute a philosophy.

Re: Count to 10 in your Conlang

For my 3S language : The phoneme n is about quantity. 5 is the number of completeness . So the logical number system is base 5. Most words are not formally constructed, yet there can be one that indicates a base 5 numbering system is engaged. Let this word be neezdoot . Numerals will follow I have n...

Re: Playing with 3S Language

I imagine a randomly generated 3S language useful to A.I. for making a conversation bot. Every combination of symbols is always a word. I hope the randomness is touchable. It's been proposed this randomness might be cued to micro-wind speed. Something of nature.

Re: Playing with 3S Language

In the tarot or the runes each symbol is a story like a dream. It can be a lot of work to translate these complex thoughts into social language.

Cool. Do you relate Carl Jung's ideas of cultural symbolism?

Re: Playing with 3S Language

The 3S language gets insults. It is for crazy people they say. It is childish they say. I say it has power and is of a naturalistic mind: this is its magic.

Playing with 3S Language

The member Lsd has this going on. So do I. A symbol=a sound=a sense. Anyone can invent such a set of symbols. The choice of these is ultimately philosophical. It took me several years to settle on a set of elemental meanings that had balance. Mine has 30. Not too many, not to few. Oh, and I do play ...

Re: Seeking a linguistic term

I find the root of the phoneme=morpheme Language as original to Africa. There is known as the Royal Language. It appeared in America with the slave importation. It survives best in the south sea Georgia Island culture.

it was called philosophical language or a priori language...
not the taxonomic ones but the olysynthetic ones
I call it a 3S language (1sign=1sound=1sense)...
3S should become a classical term. It's easy.

Re: Seeking a linguistic term

Well, yes, this is the aUI I am thinking of. I don't believe its form was Weilgart's original invention. In a published interview he said he got as a child of five (in Austria) and from a magician he met somewhere near his home, perhaps in the neighborhood's local park. He went home to tell his pare...

Seeking a linguistic term

Hello. Does anyone know the term that describes a language in which every phoneme is a morpheme. I regret that I didn't make a note of it when first I found it in an article. I use such a language for a game of invented words and crazy brains. I invented the game just lately.
