Quite right about roman-esque feel. It started out as such and never wanted to go away. Yet taking a closer look at single words you can see the idiom is not at all related to Latin. Perhaps you're right about the -isto ending, in fact it's bothering me 'cause it looks so downright spanish or italia...

Vayardyio has no real equivalent, though most days of the week are named after ancient deities as well, the exceptions being the first day of the week, and étradirno 'half-week' since this is the fourth out of eight days.
