Re: What I have been working on

Never enough hours in the day. Reminds me of the old Dunkin Donuts commercial where he says time to make the donuts and it's like 5 in the morning or something, and then he says something about already having made the donuts. [:D] Never seen that commercial, but it's true! And I see you have tons o...

Re: What I have been working on

I do not have the current version of the affix table in the Shu grammar. I will get it done either tonight or tomorrow. [:D] Never enough hours in the day. Reminds me of the old Dunkin Donuts commercial where he says time to make the donuts and it's like 5 in the morning or something, and then he sa...

Re: What I have been working on

Edited Here is a link to my 80 something page Shu grammar for anyone who would like to study it. It has two different scripts you can use with it as well as the plain Latin alphabet like English uses. I will keep editing the link as I continue improving the content in the Shu grammar. https://www.dr...

Re: What I have been working on

I have decided to use my compact script in a modified version with Shu, but also I have an alternate script which uses only numbers and is written like an addition problem in math, complete with the numbers lining up just how they are supposed to, and a dashed line or an underline under each sentenc...

Re: What I have been working on

I have finally decided how Shu is going to handle compound words. Words that begin with un which means one who does the action of the verb, or zel which means opposite, will attach to the front of the word. Things that have to be described with multiple words such as ranch salad dressing, each word ...

Re: What I have been working on

Question: Do you have different words for "may/might" as in "could possibly", and "may" as in "have/has permission to"? That would be useful in an auxlang. WHETHER YOU WILL ALLOW ME, MAY I UZH Ths is the may you're talking about having permission. Yes, it is ...

Re: What I have been working on

Also revamped my modal verbs [:D] MAY, MIGHT, CAN, COULD (MODAL VERB) May, might and can is BOTIP could is KOTIP OUGHT, SHOULD (MODAL VERB) DOMA There are no tenses for ought and should, as they mean the same thing. The only reason for having some may, might, can and could, is to separate could from...

FRENEMY (SOMEONE YOU THINK IS YOUR FRIEND BUT YOU KNOW THEY ARE YOUR ENEMY) AMI NU AMI So NU means "not", and therefore NU AMI means "enemy"? Friend-not-friend? Yes, nu ami means not friend the ami, on the end means friend, so, it's literally friend not friend. I do not know how...

Re: What I have been working on

So, it is midnight here at my house, and I have been working diligently on Shu since 9:00 pm. That's 3 hours, and I'm still going strong. I am bound and determined to make a spreadsheet so big that Excel will not be able to recover from. [:D] Anyway, first thing I did was make a copy of my word list...

Re: What I have been working on

I have modified the verb tenses as I talked about in previous posts. Now "TO" goes before the verb to form the infinitive, "WILL" goes before the verb to form the future, and "Would" goes before the verb to form the conditional. I'm doing the conditional like Esperanto....

Re: What I have been working on

What are all the verb forms you currently have? See the ===Verb Forms=== section in the LCV for a list of what you could cover. Currently, I have past present and future tenses. The present tense covers like I walk, or I am walking, so there is the gerund form. Also, the present tense covers the st...
