Re: CBB Conlang Relay XIV - IT BEGINS (late signups accepted)
Does anybody know when the next one will start? Relays tend to occur 1-2 times a year. They’re not really scheduled or anything. Usually a user just starts one. Since we just had a relay and that relay went pretty long, I imagine there won’t be another for several months, unless someone gets the bu...

Re: Speedlang IX (Jan 17-19)
I've also been planning to initiate a new speedlanging challenge but it's somewhat hard to both participate and find up the requirements. Would you like to initiate it or would you like me to? We can also coordinate and share ideas. I was planning on coming up with ideas to get easy to start in the...

Re: CBB Conlang Relay XIV - IT BEGINS (late signups accepted)
Yeah ring 1 gets a lot of attention, and rightfully so! But there are some interesting shenanigans in ring 2 as well. One ist the suggestion of the guy in the beginning, which changes to an exclamation of a woman, which itself changes from being mean to friendly. "I would suggest the Chandler ...

Re: Lexember 2021
I’m very happy with Lexember this year. Last year my wife and I both got COVID which forced me to abruptly stop Lexember. After that I didn’t really come back to CBB until this Lexember. Even though I abandoned Yemya along the way, I’m very glad to have played, come up with more ideas for Weddisch, ...

Re: Weddisch
So, since I’ve been back on conlanging a bit, I’ve decided to finally give the six dialects names. Below, I’m reposting the image of the dialect areas and I’ll refer to them by their colors. There are however, lots of different ways to refer to these dialects, which will require some explanation. On...

/ʒ/ is so characteristic of Weddisch in my mind! I figure that it probably stands out in particular because /ʒ/ is uncommon in native vocabulary in most Germanic languages. I'm really glad to hear it! It's actually one of my personal favorite features of Weddisch. Lexember 19 Weddisch Laard Hauwún ...

Weddisch
vlyte
/vlɛɪtə/
1. (intransitive) to argue, quarrel
(strong, 3S vlytes, past tense vlaat, past participle vlitte, auxiliary hawe)
This doesn’t keep with this week’s theme of motion but it follows the semantic theme from my two words yesterday.
