Collab conworld!
Setting: Alternate Earth, landmasses can be different or the same depending on what people want.
Species: The Makurungou are a fox-humanoid species, But there are also Humans and whatever else people want.
Time Period: Preferably Before the age of Gunpowder, again also depending on what others want.
Hopefully this idea takes off and there are conlangs made for it.
To join just post here.

Re: Collab conworld!
Can I have a Double-Headed Eagle Humanoid species with a vocal tract exactly the same as a human's because of genetic engineering or the gods or something?

There is nothing "new" about furries. Any of them. Want something "new"? Make a race of sentient octopodes. That would be "new". Newer than run of the mill, average everyday fox furries.Itsuki Kohaku wrote:At least some people know how to try new things. :-D

Well there's that, and then surely there can be a well thought out, considering-all-the-possibilities con- experiment.Thakowsaizmu wrote:There is nothing "new" about furries. Any of them. It seems like you're just dismissing it off the bat; sentient octopodes sound tacky and clichéd just as much as these "fox-furries". There could conceivably be a well considered, well developed and well integrated construction of any alternate sentient species; one which takes the idea seriously and tackles major issues, and makes it feel like there's a reason for them to be like so, rather than just being clichéd ideas taken for the sake of something different or just because you want your world to have them. Why can you only stick to humans?
Granted there'll always be issues of realism, as humans are the only sentient species known to have evolved, so we can't possibly know all the possible limits on what makes something go down the path to sentiency. But that's what we're doing right, imagining alternatives?
Just sayin'.
