I didn't make phonix, but it's my preferred SCA. It is a bit hard to get into, but once you get the hang of it I think it's pretty robust in terms of what it can do.
One word of warning: If you use the IPA characters themselves (instead of, say, X-SAMPA or an ad-hoc list of symbols that you declare in the file), you can't use your normal Unicode equivalents for symbols like <c> (in other words, you have to manually put in the IPA code-block symbol instead of the symbol from the Latin code block, at least in the version of the software I use).
You can download it here.

How does this compare to IPA Zounds, if you've ever used that?

If that's the program I'm thinking of, I have never used it because it's Windows-only and I'm on a Mac.Thrice Xandvii wrote:How does this compare to IPA Zounds, if you've ever used that?

phonix should work on Windows. I haven't tried it but it appears to have versions for Mac, Windows, and Linux.Thrice Xandvii wrote:It well might be, I'm a Windows-only guy.

Isn't phonix the python one? It's not my cup of tea.
