Wow, I'm posting for the first time in a while. Hello again.

And on that note I also made a map for the first time in years. How time flies.

Chrísis nf· viii·c
[ˈxrisɪs]
← 8·c feminine -is stem innovation from earlier Chrísí, from Ancient Greek Κρήτη Krḗtē "Crete"
• Crete (Greek island)

Chrísos nm· i·a
[ˈxrisəs]
← Haplology of earlier Chrísisos, from Ancient Greek Κρητῐ́σκος Krētískos "~little Crete; Crete-like" (from Ancient Greek Κρήτη Krḗtē "Crete")
• Chrísos (Caliprian island)
• Chrísos (largest town on island of Chrísos)

Chrísos and Cholpos (← Ancient Greek κόλπος kólpos "bay") are the only Caliprian towns marked on the map with an Ancient Greek etymology, the rest are all native names (with exception of Amana, related to Proto-Berber *am-an "water")

As a treat, my favourite of the native town etymologies:

Ficrios nm· i·a
[ˈfɪkrjəs]
← PIE *wik-lh₁wós ← *weyk- "choose, holy", *leh₁w- "stone", thus meaning something along the lines of "holy/anointed stone" (the l→r change here is somewhat sporadic, and analogous to a similar change that is consistent after coronal stops)
• Ficrios (capital and largest city of Calipria)

A few days ago, I recorded a bassline on top of a short mashup a friend of mine did. There's some mistakes here and there, but it's decent enough for a single take. (N.B. the lyrics are taken from "How Low" by Ludacris, so while not too noticeable, they can be a bit racy. Listen at your own discretion.)

Well, I'm not a big fan of democracy myself, as you can see if you read my posts in the 8values Test and Inner Bruise threads. But as long as democracy remains in America . . .

I'm of the opposite opinion. If democracy is to remain in America, you're going to have to disenfranchise millions of people. (I include myself in this, but am not registered to vote in the first place, so…)

After... decades? I think it's decades, of not writing anything, I got the itch to write again

it's a script for audio smut but, still it feels good to weave stories, I had almost forgotten.
