You have 30 days.
Please remember to head straight to the #role-request-channel and get funny tags people can summon you by.

I registered and signed in and created my profile and navigated to #role-request-channel.
I have no idea what you want/expect me to put in the #role-request-channel; perhaps “Alsatian”?

I don’t have any “funny tags” yet AFAIK, and don’t know how to get them.
Also you’re the only friend I’ve made there. I’m bound to have some other friends there, but I don’t know how to find out who’s on that discord.

Who else is there already?

Looking through people’s profiles and the channel itself it appears that roles on this server are mostly used to classify users by their geographic area and native language (so you could highlight all Polish speakers if you have a question about that language, I guess). “Funny tags” are rare. Most people haven’t bothered to request a role at all.

As for identifying who’s already there that you know, there’s really no way to determine that except by asking “who here knows me” or by checking everybody’s profiles and noting familiar names. The following forum users are definitely on Discord:

Ahzoh (as Магхіалеі)
alynnidalar
Arayaz
Chagen
Creyeditor
Darvince
Dezinaa
Egerius (of course)
elemtilas
Frislander (as [REDACTED])
gestaltist (as ges)
GoshDiggityDangit
GrandPiano
Harkani (as Taraiph)
Isfendil (as Artaϙυηrxes)
k1234567890y (as ;-;)
loglorn (loox)
Man in Space
opipik
protondonor
qwed117
shimobaatar
Pabappa (as Soap)
Thrice Xandvii (as Thirty-Seven)
Znex
and J❀y is me.

@lurkjay :
I can’t request friendship from anybody, including those you listed as definitely on the discord.
I get “hmm, didn’t work. Check that the username is correct.”.
No matter who I try to befriend.

Most people have a username that's different from their display name. But I don't fully understand discord either.

Are you trying to use the textbox on the, uhh, front page? As Arayaz said, the (arbitrary, mutable) display name you see in the user list is not the same thing as the (unique, mostly static) username. You’ll need to enter the username, e.g. egerius_wintoniensis for Egerius. For the most part however there’s no need to bother with that. It’s much easier to right-click on the person’s name in the server’s user list and pick “Add Friend” from the menu. (That menu is also handy for “mentioning” — requesting someone’s attention by inserting their name into the chat — and blocking annoying people.)
