Listen to "Ghost Town" by Benson Boone.

When I first heard a name like Benson Boone, I thought he'd be a country singer. However, it turns out he has the Bruno Mars, Lewis Capaldi kind of sound.

Huh.

My favorite "Ghost Town", though, is this song by Adam Lambert (who, incidentally, is an LGBT Millennial Gold boy like me).

LOL! Whule I was researching "My Universe" by Coldplay and BTS and its wonderful SF music video, I read the article at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mylo_Xyloto and discovered the Silencers live on a planet called Silencia! Silencia sounds like Silancia, the planet my sister Liz created when we were first inventing the Lehola Galaxy, a whole 18 years before Mylo Xyloto came out.

Interestingly, Dua Lipa is British, yet she sings "dance my ass off" instead of "dance my arse off". Anyone else notice that?

Also, a sad Bastille video called "Happier" for Bastille Day.

I’ve always taken it as /ɑːs/, which is what “arse” is supposed to represent for nonrhotic speakers.
Also, a sad Bastille video called "Happier" for Bastille Day.
I like listening to them, but I still haven’t fully forgiven them for not being French [xD]

Hmmmm . . . https://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/dualipa/levitating.html says she's singing "ass".

Fun fact: On the same year I had Bastille's Bad Blood on my wishlist, I also had Speak & Spell by Depeche Mode, another British band with a French name.

According to Dan Smith's Wikipedia article, he named his band Bastille because his birthday is July 14.

When I was researching celebrity birthdays a couple of decades ago, I learned that Roger Fisher of the band Heart was born on February 14. It was an "ah-ha" moment in figuring out how the "These Dreams" band got their name.

Check out the music video for "Alive" by Empire of the Sun.

Does it inspire you to do any conworlding?

It makes me do a lot of wondering.
Often that leads to some conworlding, but it can be a long or winding path.

An interesting article by Neil Howe, of Howe & Strauss fame (yes, the guys who invented generational theory).

With his acknowledgment of Billie Eilish, Lorde, Lady Gaga, the Weeknd, and trap music, Howe seems to have finally come to terms with the fact that Millennials haven't become the cheerful, clean-cut, socially conformist Boy Scouts he and Strauss predicted would march ovinely behind toxic fascists like Bush and Trump when they wrote The Fourth Turning in 1997. (The duo also predicted Millennials would get married and have children earlier, and as a greater percentage of the generation, than Xers or Boomers, and now Howe seems to have recognized that they got that wrong -- I saw an article quoting him on the decline and postponement of marriage among Millennials, with Howe attributing it to a societal change in the nature of marriage: for the Silent Generation marriage marked the beginning of adulthood, whereas for Millennials and later Xers marriage has instead become something to do once you've gotten established financially.)

I learned not too long ago that Charli XCX, the English meta-pop singer, is half Indian.
