I can see how that could be confusing, but I don't understand why it's an issue? It seemed like you could tell what I meant.

Out of curiosity, what makes you describe this as "Cherokee-like"? I'm looking at the phonemic inventory for Cherokee on Wikipedia, and I don't personally see a particularly strong resemblance.
