What about it? I don't know if I understand what you're saying here. If I remember correctly, though, at least one member of the board has used <ω> in place of /ɯ̽/ in the past, but I believe that they have a note in their signature explaining that they use <ω> to represent a near-high near-back unrounded vowel, so there has never been a need for anyone to ask them to clarify.
