[cross] It does not.

I'll add that it doesn't come from <cl->, either.

[tick] [tick] Yes to both. For this game, it would feel unfair to me for the word not to come from Latin.

Does it come from colligō axungias? With the xoñas from plural of axungia, axungias?

The plural of axungia is axungiæ, axungias is the plural accusative.
But the romance languages use only the accusative form, so it will be more accurate to label this word axungiam with plural axungias.
Unless you're talking about Vulgar Latin.

Yes, cuaye- and -xoñas are from (inflected forms of) colligō and axungia, respectively.

No. VaptuantaDoi correctly identified the etymology of the first half of the word, and you correctly identified the etymology of the second half of the word, but the word's meaning is still unknown.

[tick] The way you've worded this actually makes it a bit tricky to answer without potentially giving too much away, but yes, the word would/could have already been in use before the 20th century.
