Does -antu make it an active participle, or an imperfective participle, or a present participle?

You're on the right track, but the word itself is not an active, imperfective, or a present participle.

I believe it's been confirmed that the word itself is a noun, but is it derived from a participle?

I've answered this already. It is a participle.

It's been established that surçveidantu itself is not a participle, but rather a noun derived from a participle (hence the suffix -antu). I think that eldin raigmore may have been trying to ask if surçveidantu, this noun derived using the participle suffix -antu, refers to the agent of a verb ("one who does surçveid-").

is -veid- from videō?

Sorry that I was unresponsive two games ago [:P], I've had a fairly bad "conlang block" which was worsened by the fact that I had a lot of work assigned for some of my classes last quarter. The most I've been doing is tinkering with SCA2 (PIElang, quite fun), so I haven't been very active. Apologies for dropping the ball a bit. Glad that someone took up the helm fast.
Spoiler:
My minicity is [http://zyphrazia.myminicity.com/xml]Zyphrazia and [http://novland.myminicity.com/xml]Novland.

Minicity has fallen :(
