I changed the word for yummy as it was too ridiculous to pronounce. Now am roughly 140 something words away from 4000. [:D] Added the word hemorrhoid. Also, I added Pulitzer prize, and troubleshoot. Can't remember the rest, except for more verbs. I'm in the G's at to gain.

I finally finished enough of my "L", "pig Latin" type quasi language to show it off. I call it "L" or "EL" or "ELLE", however you want to spell it. It is a real simple concept that knows no bounds. That is because you can use it with just about any language you wish. There are two versions, one is the one I just put down in a file, which is the simple version. The second one is the advanced version, which the simple version can be turned into very easily. You can get it here. https://www.dropbox.com/s/6jyyogtqqyyybwv/l.pdf?dl=0 The document is 2325 pages.

L rules.
Spoiler:
All you do is pick your target language, whichever one you wish to speak secretly, and add the letter "L" to the beginning of every word. This will produce duplicates, so in English, you have to go by the context in order to understand it, as "love", "dove" and "shove" all become "love". To turn the simple version into the advanced version, just put a "L" at the beginning of the word, and at the beginning of each syllable.

The rules for simplified "L", are really simple.

For the beginning of the word.

If a word starts off consonant vowel, and the consonant is already an "L" leave it alone do nothing to it. If it is a 1 syllable word, you are done, say the word. If the word has more than 1 syllable, then do the same for each syllable. You are done. Then say the word.

If a word starts off with a consonant cluster followed by a vowel, like the word brown, you take off the consonant cluster and replace it with an "L". If it is only a 1 syllable word, you are done. Say the word. If the word has more than 1 syllable then do the same for each syllable. You are done, say the word.
Have fun

I once made a kind of small primitive language called "abong", where the only verb was abong, and the listener had to figure out by context, the words before and after abong, to understand what verb abong was replacing.

Example

In Abong

Skip Skippy abong tip Tippy
Skip Tippy abong trip trippy
doodlericky abong Nick Nicky
Nick Nicky abong pick picky
pick picky abong no Nicky
Sar Sara abong Sweet Sweetie
Skip Sara abong meet meety
Skip Skippy anong Sar Sara
Sar Sara abong care carea
hap happy abong man wifey
hap happy abong life lifey

In English

skip went to see tip
they went on trip
they ran into nicky
but she was too picky
they didn't want Nicky
Sara was a sweetie
Skip and Sara met
Skip fell in love with Sara
Sara fell in love with Skip
they got married
and lived happily ever after

Doing the verbs together, I assume? The TO ____ entries? So you're up to the TO G's?

And when you're done with the verbs, you're going back to the BO- entries, right?

Yeah, it had occurred to me that I did not have as many verbs as I did the other parts of speech, so I'm working my way through the to ___ then I will get back to wherever I was on the other words. I am 54 words short of the 4000 milestone. I'd like to get them in today.

Finally got to 4000. I have a worksheet in my Excel file that tells me how many words I have left to reach 1000 more than the current total, and also tells me how many I have entered since I last recorded my progress. It has the day, date, time and the number of words I have in total.

Coined a new word a minute ago, it is BĂŦTĂF and LĂŦTĂF which mean to light. What is special about them is the "ŦT" combination which is "tst" so in English it would pronounce "batstaf" and "katstaf". I'm learning new and creative ways to coin words. [:D]

This is the basic code I used to create my "L pig Latin type thing, the simplified version. Still trying to figure out how to get a program to recognize each syllable and convert those too, not just the first one. It is written in Liberty Basic 4.04 pro.

Oh, that is so cool! I doubt I'd be able to write such a program, but my brother could.

Just got a post from a guy in the translations thread I mentioned earlier. This guy has stuff for sale on lulu.com. A complete paperback dictionary from English to Griuskant. How does one afford to get something like that published for conlang? The dictionary is over 20 bucks.

So, I took out my Unicode characters for my "shp", "shr", and "sht" because I kept getting confused. I had the "S" with the cedilla under it, the "S" circumflex, like in Esperanto, and an "s" with a caron. Every time I'd go to add a word with one of those three sounds I'd wonder if I was choosing the right symbol. I had also added 2 characters, one for "ND" and the other for "NK", which I also deleted now it is just simply "SHP", "SHR", "SHT", "ND" and "NK". The regular standard Latin alphabet, like English uses, is fine for the sounds I do not need a special character for. I have to keep my 5 symbols for my short vowels with the breve over them. I also like my "NG" symbol straight from the IPA. Likewise, I also kept my "Y" with the circumflex because it makes the long I sound the rest of the letters don't make.

Am still adding words. I thought up a list while I was getting my immunotherapy treatment yesterday afternoon. Quite a few were missing, and had to be added in. There were about 5 or 6 that were already there. I also printed out the current version of the grammar, so I have a current lexicon to go by when studying to learn more words. Right now, I am learning "La nu bani" which means "I do not know". Also, "La bani" which means "I know". Also "MAYOR" which is "ESLANUMI". It literally means town/city chief. [:D]

When I post here, I get the English correction to help me when I make a typo. In the Private message screen, I get some German/Hungarian type of words that come up for replacements. Not sure why. Anyway, the newest version of the grammar is available. [:D]

My first original song in Shu with Romanized translation after each verse.
Spoiler:
La kutapa ke bekre ŷn leŋ ha
Ke bat Lo leŋ di La lekre gi
Dotep bat ŷn doget at idagui ja
Anktŷ La botep bat jŷ at zi

I decided to create a language
To be a languae I created
Would be a labor of enjoyment
Something I could be proud of

First I picked my alphabet letters
All of my vowels and consonants
Then I started putting them together
In a way that made some sense

Owan La kele Lo strek senwas za
Ŷl at Lo vokales akt tanoses pri
Nek La lakom ke day da sabran pa
Eleŋ ŷn ne di Li botep adun thi

Ŷm senwas kuzo zuns pa
Eleŋ ŷm leŋ La kumon Esho pri
Zhu lo lŷt ŷn solago lakom ja
La lekre ŷn tŷmwapi uf gi

The letters represented sounds
In the language I called Shu
Once I had a good start
I created a grammar book too

Decided to write a basic program which pairs up my Shu consonants with a vowel. The way it works is a consonant can only have a certain vowel follow it. From there, it will randomly select a consonant which comes with its own fixed vowel, and depending on how many syllables I tell it I want in my word, it will keep building the word until it is finished at which time it will save that word to a file, and will work then on the next word out of the number of words, that I tell it to create. When it is done, I open the file in notepad, and copy it into my Excel spreadsheet. Then I remove any duplicate words, and I will have a better selection of language words to choose from when needing a word for something.

Here is a link to my 80 something page Shu grammar for anyone who would like to study it. It has two different scripts you can use with it as well as the plain Latin alphabet like English uses. I will keep editing the link as I continue improving the content in the Shu grammar.

An error on page 30: your list of numbers is ordered "hundred, million, thousand" instead of "hundred, thousand, million". Also, what about billions and trillions?

Started another conlang. This one is called primitive, and I already have about 416 words so far in about 2-3 hours. [:D] Once I figured out my concept, this conlang is practically writing itself. Turned the language into a spreadsheet matrix. It has the same grammar as English. I will post a link to what I have so far, possibly tomorrow. [:D]
