The second one, if my sources are not mistaken, is sandtrap. As a non-native speaker, I have never heard that word before so I assume it's not that common, and the Google Ngram Viewer seems to confirm that.

I have heard of "sandtrap", but that's not the other word I was thinking of. Something more common, that's quite often written with a space or a hyphen. (Hint: It has to do with travel.)
