Old English cognate of Dreck

Post by DunersHamer »

I think I must be going out of my mind. I'm sure that yesterday, in Bosworth & Toller, I found an Old English cognate of the German word 'Dreck' along the lines of 'dreax' or 'drax', but now I've tried so hard and can't find any trace of it.

Does this word exist or am I making it up? O_O

Okay, I've found it. Pesky thorns! It was þreax :-P

Did this really need it's own thread?

I don't see the problem. It's a forum made for threads.

I was originally looking for help, but then I realised the issue, so I edited the post. :-s
