Since there's an abundance of natlang translations easily accessible through sites like Biblegateway, I think it'd be a good idea to focus on conlangs in this TC.

:con: Hra'anh
Jeez, there are a bunch of ways to say it, which vary based on dialect.

North Hra'anh eliminates the grammar that was borrowed from Bosk'e, making it a completely regular sentence despite use of the passive to focus Akh as the agent:
E malathi ail, chreka e shale ih Hra ke Akh.
[ɛ ˈmɑ.lɑ.t̪i ɑil ʃə.ˈɾe.kɑ ɛ ˈʃa.lɛ iç ɹɑ ke ˈɑx]

Code: Select all

e malathi ail chrek-a e shal-e ih Hra ke Akh
DEF beginning in PASS.make-PST DEF star-PL and world OBL God
South Hra'anh uses the nominative-accusative "standard God-agreement" paradigms borrowed from Bosk'e, an effectively dead language, rather than the standard ergative-absolutive alignment that pervades normal Hra'anh:
E malathi ail, Akh eb shale ih eb Hra chreka.
[ɛ ˈmɑ.lɑ.t̪i ɑil ˈɑkh ɛb ˈʃɑ.lɛ iç ɛb ɹɑ ʃə.ˈɾɛ.kɑ]

Code: Select all

e malathi ail Akh eb shal-e ih eb Hra chrek-a
DEF beginning in God.NOM DEF.ACC star-PL and DEF.ACC world create-PST
West Hra'anh and Vi'aka Hra'anh both mark the verb specially when Akh is the subject, something which Hra's greatest language scholars can't explain the origin of:
Ail malathi, Akh e shale ih Hra maidichreka.
[ɑil ˈmɑ.lɑ.θ ˈɑx e ˈʃɑ.le iç ɹɑ mɑi.di.ˈʃe.kɑ]

Code: Select all

ail malathi Akh e shal-e ih Hra mai-di-chrek-a
in beginning God DEF star-PL and world 3.ANM-3.INM-create-PST
Or (West only; due to freer word order working with polypersonal agreement, subject/agent/focus fronting is standard)

Akh ail malathi, e shale ih Hra maidichreka.
[ˈɑx ɑil ˈmɑ.lɑ.θ e ˈʃɑ.le iç ɹɑ mɑi.di.ˈʃe.kɑ]

Code: Select all

Akh ail malathi e shal-e ih Hra mai-di-chrek-a
God in beginning DEF star-PL and world 3.ANM-3.INM-create-PST
Or (this standard West example would be considered blasphemy in the South dialect due to heavy importance placed upon the name Akh)

Pep ail malathi, e shale ih Hra maidichreka.
[pep ɑil ˈmɑ.lɑ.θ e ˈʃa.le iç ɹɑ mɑi.di.ˈʃe.kɑ]

It is said by [the] Christians (that) at [the] beginning of absolutely everything, [the] sky and world were made by their god.

I couldn't resist being a little secular. For a direct translation, use only the second line of the gloss and remove the genitive noun. I suppose a Christian might refer to their god as 'vitaarr-dzvaeraik' (the god of all of us/everyone's god) in Zidhgebzhail.

Note that 'beginning of everything' is both plural and androgyne in order to give the strongest possible sense of the beginning of all things, and would possibly be avoided in a formal translation of a religious text.
Life's a bitch, then you die.

I don't really know how to "translate" like you guys do, so I just did the best I could. And yea, I have a phonetic language, because I'd feel like an hypocrite if it wouldn't be phonetic.

Do you mean interlinear glossing? The interlinear glossing manual can be found here, and abbreviations can be found here.

Is it bad that my first thought after seeing the title (I actually didn't remember having written here before [O.o]), my first thought was this?

IN THE BEGINNING THERE WAS SILENCE AND DARKNESS
ALL ACROSS THE EARTH
THEN CAME THE WIND
AND A HOLE IN THE SKY
THUNDER AND LIGHTNING KEPT CRASHING DOWN
HIT THE EARTH AND SPLIT THE GROUND
FIRE BURNING HIGH IN THE SKY
