You could use "solo" (only) in place of "appena", but "appena" sounds like a better translation to me in this context. Also, I used the remote past tense, which is technically the correct choice but in spoken language is almost always replaced by the near past (sono caduto instead of caddi), especially in the north. Finally, I glossed "caddi" as "cad-di" but the verb is actually irregular - still, this form clearly shows the root "cad" so I stressed it out.

(thanks for making me add "stink" and "manhole" to my vocab btw. -12 to 1000 words in my main dictionary!)

When I was just nine years old, I fell into a stinky manhole.

Notes:
  • J' avoû "I had" is pronounced the same as jo voû "I see", so I suppose the first clause of this translation could be heard as "When I see just nine years". Luckily, context should make it clear which is which. EDIT: In my translation at first, I used the indicative, but I forgot "when" triggers the subjunctive, so this isn't relevant anymore; still an interesting ambiguity though.
  • Lòrje "hole" is a distinctively Silvish word. It's thought to come from a Vulgar Latin *labrica, itself from Latin labrum. It originally meant "rim", but its meaning has shifted in the modern language. Another example of its use is lòrje noûra "black hole".

When I was just nine years old, I fell into a stinky manhole. (Lit. Nine years I was, I fell into stinky sewer.)

I would translate this into some other conlangs... But my only other conlangs developed enough to handle this phrase are long extinct.
  • :con: Gondolan, the pride of the Gondolan empire.
  • :con: Tsodanian, a tri-cons language with heavy armenian influence.
  • :con: Yaponese, an isolated language in Japan.
  • :con: Mothaukan, crazy tonal language.
