It's as if we are subjects in a scientific experiment that has been forgotten. A test tube left to gather dust.

* C = "common" or non-human-associated gender

Pretty straightforward there. I simplified "that has been forgotten" and "left to gather dust" into "forgotten" and "gathering dust", respectively, since it felt more elegant to say them that way in Silvish.

New words for this challenge:

valtervil [vɐlˈteɾvɨl] - test subject, test person
Etymology: from vala "to see, to watch; to try" + tervil "person"

valuruntal [vɐlʉˈɾuntɐl] - experiment
Etymology: from vala "to see, to watch; to try" + uruntal "occurrence", as in "watch what happens"

salfér [sɐˈleːd̟] - test tube; conical flask
Etymology: cross-derivation: originally saliflores "light bottle", for the bright light emitted by some chemical reactions, which old Yélian alchemists already were aware of. The word got loaned into Caelian as zalfor, which later changed to zalfer and took the meaning of multiple chemical instruments. From there, it was re-loaned into Yélian.
Wipe the glass. This is the usual way to start, even in the days, day and night, only a happy one.
