Conlang Translations

Post by Larryrl »

This post is for Conlangers to show off their translation skills. Please list the names of some songs, poems, or other literary works, that you have translated into your conlang. It would be cool also, if you gave us an example of a few lines of a translation in your conlang.

I translated a poem that was in the public domain, ad posted it. The thread is here viewtopic.php?p=310968#p310968

Awesome. I downloaded a couple of stories. I will need your conlang grammar and lexicon in order to learn to read them. Also, can you point me to a link where I can publish some of my stuff with lulu? [:D]

Thanks for the interest 📝. If you ever start reading any of the stories, let me know which one so that I can give you the newest version with less mistakes and typos. I sometimes don't update the links regularly.

The Lulu website itself gets you started with self-publishing, completely free. I made an account and just uploaded my stuff.

Famous country and western song translated to Shu.

Spoiler:
Before the next teardrop falls
Sung by Freddy Fender

If he brings you happiness
Then I wish you all the best
It’s your happiness
that matters most of all
But if he ever breaks your heart
If your tear drops ever start
I’ll be there
before the next teardrop falls

I’ll be there any time
You need me by your side
to dry away
every tear drop that you cry
and if he ever leaves you blue
just remember I love you
and I’ll be there
before the next teardrop fallls

Shu version translated by Larry R. Lowe
