thee-III.A.animacy.rank-referential.case come.into.view-MIDDLE-3.sing.pres me-III.A.animacy.rank-ablative.case

thee is come before the eye-perception of me

Kalchian exhibits a curious split ergativity as regards verbs of perception in the 1st vs. 2nd & 3rd persons, so:

2. ũm-dang-so saman-Ø-os ku-mue-Co = Thou examines me

3. lĩ-Tan-so ilt saman-Ø-ni ku-mue-Co = that one examines me

More like the Na'vi sense of understanding:

yavīyą
'j<ə>p-ь-ə-ijə-'ə-m
see<NEUT>-NVL-V-1-OBJ-2

Literally seeing you right now:

aıvīyą
'a-j<ə>p-ь-ə-ijə-'ə-m
CONT-see<NEUT>-NVL-V-1-OBJ-2

I see you.

I'm going to need help with identifying what that morpheme I called AC is, it sort of glues the subject to the verb in the present tense (compare Вар љємєкєвsт "I [can/may/might/possibly am] eat[ing]" versus Варна љємєкєвsт "I'm eating" vs Варна љємєкєвsтӧд "I'm eating[, that's what I do]", vs Вар љємєкєвsтӧд "I'm eating[, that's what humans do]").

There is a special suffix -na to indicate second person singular patient, which is only used together with a first person subject/agent.

*In normal VSO sentences, the subject pronoun is fused to the verb (and written as one word) because both compromise a single prosodic unit, but they're still different words syntactically.
