How have you picked the name for your conworld?

My thoughts (on naming a whole world) after reading through your responses: as I am not telling my conworld’s story from any one nation’s point of view, I don’t want to use any in-world name for the planet as its name. It is definitely what I would do if I was concentrating on some central language or region - which is what Mark Rosenfelder did with Almea, for example. (BTW, in Poland, Almea is a drug against erectile disfunction, I just found out )

Picking a completely random name feels... well... random.

Also, I have no spiritual plane on this world, so I cannot decide it is „what the gods call it“.

I am still stumped, to be honest.

I shouldn't fret over it, then. The name will appear when it's the proper time to be revealed to you!

I have been calling my world „The World of Two Suns“ so I will probably go with that as the name to put on a Wiki.

Naturally, what you call it externally doesn't necessarily have to be precisely what people call it internally. It happens that, as far as The World is concerned, that exonym is coincidentally very similar to the name given to the place, as an oecumene, in Auntimoany: se Weraltez, and its various regions have similar Thietish / Germanic names: Netheswaraldaz, Medwaraldaz, Overhevenes. Internally, in the East, they call the planet (not the oecumene) several names, depending on language. Gea is the common philosophical name, and is obviously Rumelian; Erthez comes close to a planet name for Avantimannish while Sexomar comes close for Talarian. What Gea is called by people on those other planets nearby is anyone's guess! Then, once you broaden your horizons, they call simply everything, .i. the universe, All That Is.

My conworld doesn't have a name. I'm usually calling it "Ahtiala" if I must, from the name of the country I must often deal with. Sometimes "Haivööri" from the name of the planet or "Peunt Xar"/"Xar" from the name of the star, for its solar system.
But usually I just don't name the conworld, a conworld doesn't need a catchy phrase like you make for advertising things. I sometimes call it simply "Canis's conworld" and it's perfectly fine.

Give it a somewhat altered pronunciation, mayhap, and this gets my vote... if in fact we are voting that is. I'd go with: /dɪ.'hel.jʊs/ or something else that's slightly not Englishy Greek.

For instance, Thōselqatā is a Pazmat word because Pazmat is basically the English of that planet (a lingua franca learnt by many and used for many things such as business and international treaties). It may suck for the others (especially for the Heocg/Azen/Sun/Chyyf/etc. student who must memorize Pazmat's laboriously complicated ablaut and inflection systems*), but that's how the cookie crumbles.

Well, two things.

First, there's no super-ultra-mega-dominator language analagous to English in our world. There are regional languages like Kodul Tazar in Ngazir, and Haneko in the Pakara Sea, but that's it.

Second, something just feels wrong about taking something that has many names to many people and saying "This is the objectively correct name, the one you need to worry about."

Same. However, the only language I've made that has a name for the world is Taahu. In that language the planet is called Ginúúhu, which means "creation"; it's used in the same way that the English word is used in religious contexts to mean 'the universe'.

When I was a little child, I learned that aliens will call our planet Terra, because that's obviuosly the Lingua Franca Name that we use ourselves. I was confused, but I accepted it

Despite English's status as the de facto international language, it's worth keeping in mind, as Creyeditor says, that the majority of the people on this planet nevertheless still do not refer to it as "Earth". Even fewer people use "Terra".

The only time I can imagine there being a need for a single, pan-linguistic term for the planet is in interplanetary relations, and even then, it's probably only the aliens who will use that term universally, or almost universally, considering they probably have a bunch of languages too, and probably some of them would be like Chinese or Icelandic and just make up their own native word for Earth (assuming alien languages are human-like).

I suppose you could have some sort of whole-world government that imposes a single word for the planet, but that still seems unlikely.

I am in Micamo's and Elemtilas' and clawgrrip's camp. I have various languages, and each has its own name for their homeworld, the moon. I have 1st.OMNISCIENT names for the world itself (Tirga, which is shortened from Tyerrgáé), and the continents and seas, but every now and again I have pondered how I would go about (re)naming the continents according to each conlang. It wouldn't be too hard: Tirga has one pangaeatic supercontinent, and a few floating sub-continents, and a bunch of island archipelagos.
I just never focused my glossopoetic/kenning wave-motion BFG 3000 on that particular target.
