Very nice. Will you be adding them to the Frathwiki Klingon lexicon?

Did you click on the page he linked to? It states clearly: "[This is a borrowing, not a native Klingon word.]"

I clicked on it, but I found it impossible to look up anything on it.
So I never saw that sentence.

Actually, Eldin, I was hoping people would read all the recent words to see the marvel of the whole list for themselves (including many words I didn't mention above). The list is mostly is alphabetical order by Klingon word. One of the words, qo'qo, is coconut; if you look at it, you can tell it's borrowed.

I thought it might be in alphabetical order by tlhIngan’s alphabet.
I don’t have that memorised and couldn’t see from the page how to find it out*, and of course since I would be looking up “coconut” to find “qo’qo”, I wouldn’t have known what to look up even if I knew tlhIngan’s alphabetical order.
(*I see the alphabetical order for tlhIngan now. But I still wouldn’t have known to look under q for coconut.)

I had no trouble finding Saghan because I knew the tlhIngan word would be derived from Carl Sagan’s surname.

Is there a way to use that site as a Klingon-to-English -and- English-to-Klingon “dictionary”?

I imagine the word for “rubber” is borrowed also. [But clearly not from English!]
As is the proper name for “Afghanistan”.

Edit: I used the “in order by date added” feature and looked at all the words new since 1/1/2019.
Kinda impressed!

That's one of my favorite puns! That and tu'mI' for "sock".

Not that I know of.

But check out https://www.frathwiki.com/Klingon/lexicon , which Masako and I have edited. All the Klingon words officially coined to date!

I have just added all the newest words.

The lexicon of Klingon has really blossomed in the past five years. [B)]

EDIT: By my own count, Klingon is up to 3,714 words.

qoch'uq

Must've been borrowed from French caoutchouc!

Now we can say Quch qoch'uq!

If an iPad it be, you can search the page by typing your query in the address bar. In the menu that pops up as you type, there's an option to see the results under the "On this page" heading.

I would call these lexical units...lexemes, because many of them can be combined to create more complex meanings.

Here's an Easter egg I just figured out:

'IDnar magic, wizardry

This must come from spelling "Randi" backwards!

Interestingly, I have a word in Kankonian that looks like an Easter egg but is not. In Kankonian, the word for psychic is randi. I was 16 and had never heard of The Amazing Randi.

Orthography reform for Klingon?

wait, never mind. Just replace <ch> with <c>, and it will be fine. Why use <ch> when there is no plain <c>?
Similarly, <gh> with <g>.

I just noticed something neat with the kinship terms:

me` - n - aunt [mother's sister] -- Auntie Em
`e`mam - n - aunt [father's sister] -- Auntie Mame
`IrneH - n - uncle [mother's brother] -- Uncle Henry

But I don't get this one:

tennuS - n - uncle [father's brother]

tennuS backwards is Sunnet. Who's Uncle Sunnet?

At https://www.kli.org/chabal/ they now have a wishlist of new Klingon words you'd like Marc Okrand to coin.

I registered today as a guest. Guests are allowed two word requests each, and I requested words for headphones and disorder, disability, syndrome, condition. You may also register as a 1-year member, 5-year member, 10-year member, or lifetime member, meaning you'll get to view more parts of the site and request more words.

All registered members -- even guests -- may upvote or downvote other people's word requests. Especially recommended by He'me'HeqIS are "adverb(ial)", "blink", "fish (verb)", "freckle", "friendship", "gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender", "monopoly", "parent", "teen", "trillion", "tumor", and "twin". Adding "mercury", "aluminum", "tin", and "zinc" seems like uncontroversial common sense (and I see that all four of these element words will apparently make it). Some words are apparently redundant, on the other hand, and are getting majorly borked by the voters!

If you register with that site, let me know and I'll check out your requests! [B)]

kli.org member Allie56 has added ten new word suggestions to vote on. Included are many words I have in the LCV: alkali (base), fossil, gum (in the mouth), oval, protein, and trapezoid. They all already have 7 votes. I encourage you to vote on them.

The word is tanje'rIn, so obviously it's an English borrowing.

Just like:

'epIl naH: apple
per naH: pear
pIlam naH: plum
raSber naH: raspberry
Sutra'ber naH: strawberry
ghIrep naH: grape
banan naH: banana
qo'qo: coconut
menggho' naH: mango
