I'm done with my work (yay!) and I expected the relay to be done too. However, ring 2 has barely moved since, so if it's okay I would like to rejoin.

Wipe the glass. This is the usual way to start, even in the days, day and night, only a happy one.

Congrats on finishing the work! No worries—I've added you back in ring 2 :)

Why is the relay delayed by two weeks? Who does the torch in ring 2?
Re: CBB Conlang Relay XIV - IT BEGINS (late signups accepted)
I'm still waiting for the torch. It's currently Azunite's turn but I haven't heard a peep from him.Titus Flavius wrote: ↑21 Nov 2021 22:43 Why is the relay delayed by two weeks? Who does the torch in ring 2?
Re: CBB Conlang Relay XIV - IT BEGINS (late signups accepted)
I'm only the one holding up Ring 1 by two weeks, so I can't answer for Ring 2, but I'll apologise nonetheless. My biggest problems have been lack of time and general malaise, followed by some combination of the counterintuitiveness of the language I'm translating out of, my difficulty understanding a few points of its grammar (and there's one word I can't work out at all, but I'm waiting to see if there are any others before I ask about it), and the fact that the text appears to be almost complete nonsense in places. (what the proportions in this combination are I'll have to see what the text is MEANT to say before I can know...)
...I think that my last/first relay experience - being first in a ring, translating a pristine text out of an SAE conlang - may have led me to have a false sense of confidence!
The good news is, I've almost finished decoding the text, and I've even made a bit of a start on my own translation. I expect the translation to procede swiftly, and although it may take a little work polishing up a suitable grammar guide for my antecessor, I'm not expecting any major problems in that regard.

Azunite hasn't been online since the 4th of November, so I'd propose to skip him for now and I forward my torch to Acipencer? We can just put Azunite at the end of the ring in case.

If you send me questions today or tomorrow, I'll try to get back to you within a day, but Thursday and Friday I'll be celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday, so I may not respond until Saturday.
Re: CBB Conlang Relay XIV - IT BEGINS (late signups accepted)
My PM to them hasn't been opened three days later—feel free to forward the torch to Acipencer like you said, and then I'll rejig the order.

Can I late-join with Lohdan?
Re: CBB Conlang Relay XIV - IT BEGINS (late signups accepted)
Sorry for changing the language the third and final time, but it will be Camnorese, not Epos.
Torch will be passed soon.

Re: CBB Conlang Relay XIV - IT BEGINS (late signups accepted)
Info: I will switch the language that I'm using from Yélian to Paatherye.
I'm already done with the translation into English, but the translation to Paatherye will take me longer than usual. This is due to the higher complexity of the language compared to Yélian, a less developed vocabulary and the fact that I cannot copy-paste my grammar write up from previous relays.
