I have been passively thinking about this friend from history as well. This message includes messy ideas.
I think the name of the lang could be cűtátic, an adjective derived from Latic civitātem (Spanish ciudad, Italian città). It means something like 'urban' because the language is spoken in three towns in Hungary.
I think the declensions could have just two cases, Nominative and Oblique (the everything else case). Oblique mostly derives from the Latin dative.
Masculine endings
Sg.nom -Ø
Sg.obl -u <-o (old dative)
Pl.nom -s, -i, -es (old plural nominative or accusative)
Pl.obl -if (old plural dative)
Feminine endings
Sg.nom -Ø
Sg.obl -i <-ae (old dative)
Pl.nom -s, -es (old plural accusative)
Pl.obl -if (old plural dative)
gatt 'cat'
Sg.nom gatt
Sg.obl gattu <- gatto
Pl.nom gatty <- gatti
Pl.obl gattif <- gattibus
The plural -s often joins the consonant stem.
All words ending in /k/ <c> end in /tʃ/ <cs> in the plural.
Amic 'friend'
Amics 'friends'
Masculine words ending in /t/ <t> on the other end in /c/ <ty> in the plural.
I also want to use the word codex.
códecs ['ko:detʃ] 'book'
códeces ['ko:deseʃ] 'books'
The genitive construction is formed in the Hungarian way with su 'his' The possessor can either have Nominative or Oblique.
mi amic(u) su cás
'my friend's house'
Literally: 'my friend his house'

Im thinking of reigniting my own hungromlang Pannonian due to this. For the endonym its worth pointing out that Pannonian Romance survived in a few towns (Kestely culture) so I recommend the endonym Castellic, though the similarity to Castillian concerns me.
